Influence the Upcoming Society for the Study of Human Development Conference in October 2009
The steering committe of SSHD is seeking to energize the early career group. The next SSHD conference will be October 2009. What would you like to see added to the program? Now is the time to speak up, because the program is now being considered and it is not yet set, format-wise.
For example, we could arrange to have members of the early career group sign up for coffee or dinner with senior members (e.g., Richard Lerner, etc.,) during the conference as a way to informally network and ask questions about your career development. We can also have a specific workshop on grant writing? What will be most useful to you, during our next conference?
I also encourage you to add your picture, if you can, to your profile on this network. Please also encourage other early career folks that you know that are passionate about human development to join this early career network.
